A Musical Offering
Nelson and Korin Amos will present music for piano and classical guitar at the Nelson Amos Studio (23 E. Cross St.) on Sunday, December 5, 2010 as a part of the Ypsilanti Holiday Home Tour. The mini-concerts, to be presented on the hour between 12 noon and 4:30 pm, will include pieces for guitar and harpsichord, solo works for both instruments, and piano. Tickets for the Holiday Home Tour are sold at the Nelson Amos Studio, Haab's, Sidetrack, and Salt City Antiques in Ypsilanti. Sunday tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. All proceeds go to Ypsilanti Meals on Wheels.
Ann Arbor Art Walk-Oct. 22-24, 2010
The Nelson Amos Studio will participate in the 2010 Ann Arbor Art Walk - Friday, October 22, 5-9 p.m., Saturday and Sunday October 23 & 24, Noon-5 p.m. Nelson will be demonstrating how to paint on the iPad using the Brushes application. For more information on the Art Walk including the map, please

Pianos 'Round Town Sept. 24 - Oct. 11, 2010
Eight pianos are coming to Depot Town and Downtown Ypsilanti. They will be placed on the sidewalks during the day for anyone to play and taken in at nights. There will be one in front of the Nelson Amos Studio which anyone can take a brush to and paint. Painting materials will be provided.
Pictures and videos will be uploaded on Facebook and
youtube with everyone's permission.
The pianos are being provided by Steinway Piano Gallery of Detroit. Transportation is being funded by the Depot Town Association. The Nelson Amos Studio is coordinating the entire project.

Bookmarks
The Nelson Amos Studio has just created bookmarks made from images extracted from larger paintings of mostly local scenes of Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor. These are great gift items at $3.95.
"Towers" pencil drawing
Archival prints of the pencil drawing of "Towers" are now available at the Studio. These vary from a full size version (12 x 24.5) down to smaller images on blank cards and magnets. We also have bookmarks of this image.

A New Painting of the "Farmer's Market"
This winter scene of the Farmer's Market will be used as the image for our second annual Christmas card. The cards will be available individually or in boxed sets of eight. These sets are available either in blank format or imprinted on the inside with "Merry Christmas from Ypsilanti."
Prints, magnets, calendars and puzzles of this image are also available at the Studio.

An 8 x 10, 48 piece puzzle with one of Nelson's paintings makes a great gift or a treat for yourself during these long, cold winter months! They are packaged in a box with the image of the puzzle on it. Come by and check them out.

A New Classical Guitar Recording
The "Summer Serenade" Compact Disc was released on Saturday, March 24th and is now available at the Nelson Amos Studio for $12.
This album of solo classical guitar music, recorded at Solid Sound Studio in Ann Arbor, was performed by Nelson Amos at his studio on three weekend recitals in July and August of 2006.
